This is a test of mixing some of my sounds together, its very messy at the moment as I am just getting used to using Adobe. In the summer I often travel a lot but this year I haven’t left the UK but have travelled around a lot by train. I live next to the park and hear kids playing there, also have some bird song in there.
This is one of the recordings I did in at a National Trust Park estate to capture the typical sound of summer. I edited it in Audition to take out some of the background sound of the wind.
This is a long exposure photo I took on a bridge at night over the motaway at home. I added the text in photoshop. My partner was taking too long to respond as I have rowing all weekend including Monday and won’t get a chance to do my work. So this is really expressing that for me, time is running out.
I watched an inspiring documentary a while back entitled “Man on Wire”, in the documentary the man tight ropes across the twin towers. This is my relay in response to Dom Barnes’s poster of events that inspire him. The image is clearly not my own as I was not there when he did it! But I added in photoshop the phase “It’s amazing what you can achieve being in the right place at the right time”.
Moving Image final video. The name of the poet we received was the starting point on which we based our research. Through the research of literature of Alyson Hallett we found the poem entitled “freight”. From this poem we developed what the atmosphere, mood and emotion of the moving image piece would be.
The artist, Richard Hamilton provided us with a palette to work from visually; this inspired us to seek out particular qualities inherent in his work such as visual style, techniques, colour/shape or form.
